Universal Banker
Role Description
Loyal Trust Bank is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Universal Banker to join our team. This role combines responsibilities from traditional banking roles, including teller, customer service, and sales, to provide a seamless and personalized banking experience for our clients. The Universal Banker will serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling a wide range of transactions, addressing inquiries, and promoting banking products and services to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide tailored solutions, ensuring a positive banking experience.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
- Product Sales and Referrals: Proactively identify opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, credit cards, and digital banking solutions, to meet sales goals.
- Account Management: Assist customers with account openings, closings, and maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve customer inquiries or issues promptly, escalating complex matters to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Cash Handling: Perform daily balancing and follow security protocols for cash and negotiable instruments.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty and trust in Loyal Trust Bank’s services.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) guidelines.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with branch team members to achieve branch goals and contribute to a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in banking, retail, or customer service; prior teller or sales experience is a plus.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse customers.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and banking software.
- Excellent sales and relationship-building abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Flexibility to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., coin bags or cash boxes).
- Comfort with frequent interaction with customers in a professional setting.
